Classes may vary from location to location.
Adult Beginner level classes focus on true beginners and are well-suited for the newcomer to Yoga and for those who love to continue focusing on the fundamentals of the basic Yoga poses and correct breathing.
Advanced Beginner class levels are determined based on those enrolled. In this class the poses are held a little longer than in an Adult Beginner class and more strengthening poses are included. Background in Yoga is helpful for this class, but not essential.
Intermediate classes are for those ready to go deeper into Yoga. Sanskrit and the Wisdom of Yoga is introduced in this class. The poses are more strengthening, held longer and call upon a greater range of motion to open up the body. More inverted poses are introduced in Intermediate Yoga. Join this class if you are feeling comfortable in the Adult Beginner or Advanced Beginner Yoga classes and are looking to expand your practice. As with all of our classes, the focus is on the gentleness.
Teen Yoga classes are especially designed to meet the needs of teens, ages 13-18. This one-hour class offers breathing, gradual stretching, Yoga poses and relaxation. It gives teens the opportunity to strengthen themselves physically and emotionally through positive affirmations that are woven into the class while offering the Yoga poses. This class gives teens helpful tools to handle the stress in their life in a positive way, as well as teaching them to focus and concentrate, which is essential for success in school and work.
